Sentinel-2 radiometry validation method based on the use of RadCalNet measurements

The second radiometry validation method developed in the frame of the S2RadVal project is based on the use of RadCalNet measurements. The RadCalNet network includes 4 instrumented sites: Baotou (China), La Crau (France), Gobabeb (Namibia) and Railroad Valley Playa (USA). The RadCalNet portal expected to be opened to the broad user community later in 2016 will provide hyperspectral TOA reflectances at 30 min intervals for nadir view and for 50 x 50 m² with uncertainties. The RadCalNet measurements will be spectrally and geometrically “interpolated” at the time of Sentinel-2 overpasses in order to compare them with Sentinel-2 reflectances.
